RIP Dan Wheldon

Postby FightingTorque » Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:05 pm

As a passionate motor racing fan this probably affects me more than others, and I don't wish to be propagating the media's sensationalist perspective with phrases like "horror crash" and "fiery wreck", but... it's not even been two hours since his death was announced and I don't think it will sink in for a couple of days. Wheldon was the winner of this year's Indianapolis 500 and one of the most successful open-wheel racing drivers of the modern era. He was 33, and leaves a wife and two young children.
