The Legend of Zelda, the game that started it all. This is arguably the best game ever made for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I remember when I got this game as a present when I was five years old. I still own and play the original cartridge.
The Legend of Zelda was released for the NES in 1986. It was an instant hit. Zelda revolutionized console gaming by being the first to include a battery to save games.

Another interesting feature is a second quest to play after you beat the game. I remember how surprised I was to find another quest to play when I beat the first one. Unfortunately, the second quest wasn't repeated in the later games. Zelda introduced the puzzles and mind games that we have learned to love in a Zelda game. This was the beginning. Hopefully this'll be a little trip down Memory Lane for you.
