Gameshark Codes

This page contains codes for use with the Gameshark. If you want to cheat, or just have a little fun, try out some of these codes. I haven't verified if any of these work, so I can't make any guarantees.

What Version Do I Have?

You may not know it, but there are actually three different versions of the Gameshark for the North American market. This was done mainly to fix bugs in the game. Since some of the bugs were fixed in the later versions, certain glitches you may have heard of won't work in the later versions. Here are the different versions, and how to tell which one you have:

Version 1.0

This is the special collector's edition gold cartridge that was given to people who pre-ordered the game. Rumor has it that there are a few gray 1.0's but I doubt it. If you have a gold game, it's 1.0.

Version 1.1

This is the gray cartridge issued after the pre-order campaign. If you bought the gray version in stores right when it came out, odds are you have version 1.1.

Version 1.2

This one is also gray, and was released several months after the initial release of the game. If you bought this more than a couple months after the game came out, you probably have 1.2

These guidelines are by no means a guarantee. If the codes don't work for your game, then try using the ones for another version.
